97. CHASE RIGHT: Starting formation - Two couples Back-to-Back. Each right-hand
dancer does an exaggerated Zoom action, moving into the position previously occupied by
the right-hand dancer behind him, to finish facing in the same direction as when he started
the Zoom action. (The net result is the same as if the right-hand dancer had done a
right face U Turn Back & Box Circulated twice). The left-hand dancer follows ("Chases")
the right-hand dancer by doing a Box Circulate two positions. The call finishes in a Box
Circulate formation.

This is a four dancer movement. Have the Head or Sides Pass Thru. Ask the Right Hand
dancer to do a U Turn Back by turning right. Now tell the dancers to Circulate two places
as they would in Split Circulate. This will leave the dancers in a Box Circulate formation
with the original right hand dancer facing in and the orgiginal left hand dancer facing out.
Have the active boys run and the set will be back squared. Now let the other couple work
the call.

The caller should now place the dancers into Back to Back lines. Instruct the right hand
dancer that it will be a more comfortable move it they make a rounded turn when doing the
U Turn Back. Permit the dancers to experience the call.

Before leaving the call, the caller should place the dancers in a Trade by formation.
Emphise that the call execution is with the dancers behind them in Chase Right. This
movement can be used from an Eight Chain Thru formation, but the center four
dancers will be the ones executing the call.

The Call Chase Left can be taught using the same format, except that the Left Hand dancer
will do the Zooming U Turn Back and the Right Hand Dancer will Chase that
dancer. The caller will decide when Chase Right is taught with the boy on the right and when
the same sex are coupled. The teaching instruction will be the same as described
above.
